WalkUp App ("we", "us", "our") operates walkupapp.online. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We collect the following information when you use WalkUp App:

Google account information — your name, email address, and profile picture, provided when you sign in with Google OAuth.
Player information — names, jersey numbers, and email addresses entered by team managers.
Audio files — MP3 and other audio files you upload for walk-up music and player announcements.
Usage data — page views and interactions collected via PostHog analytics to help us improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and provide access to your team's features.
To associate players with their parents and walk-up music.
To serve audio files during games.
To notify team managers of access requests.
To improve the application through aggregate analytics.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Fly.io infrastructure in the United States. Account information and roster data are stored in a JSON database on a persistent volume. Audio files are stored on the same server.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (e.g., Fly.io for hosting, PostHog for analytics).

4. Children's Privacy

WalkUp App is used in the context of youth sports. Player names and jersey numbers may belong to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Parents and guardians should contact us if they believe their child's information has been added without consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Team managers can remove player records at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. This may use cookies or local storage. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
